Massa aksi Tolak Kenaikan Harga BBM saat ini masih bertahan & menutup dua arah jalan A.P Pettarani Makassar depan kampus Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM).

A number of personnel were alerted in front of the Makassar State University (UNM) campus using shields and tactical vehicles such as water cannons.

From CNNIndonesia.com monitoring , the police were slowly approaching the UNM campus while urging students to immediately disperse.

"Please my fellow students not to throw again and the public is also asked to disperse immediately," said a police officer over a loudspeaker, Monday (5/9).

The police's persuasive efforts were unsuccessful, so the officers fired tear gas at the students. Until 21:48 WITA, stones were still being thrown at officers by UNM students.

The clashes were triggered when students protested against the increase in fuel prices by closing all roads in front of the UNM Makassar campus from noon to night.
