VIDEO: Two buses of 101 migrants mostly from Venezuela arrive outside at VP Harris house in DC sent by Greg Abbott of TX - one migrant telling me he believes the border is “open”

Two buses of 101 migrants mostly from Venezuela arrive outside @VP Harris house in DC sent by @GregAbbott_TX - one migrant telling me he believes the border is “open”.

Between 75 and 100 people who were picked up in Eagle Pass, Texas, were sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. The group includes migrants from Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico. Multiple migrants, asked by Fox News Digital, said they think the border is open, contrary to what Harris said Sunday during an interview.

This latest convoy of buses arrived just hours after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis followed through on his similar promise to drop off illegal immigrants in progressive states, sending two planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday.

A representative from a non-governmental organization called Sanctuary DMV showed up and told the migrants they would be going to a local church.

During an interview on Sunday, Harris told NBC’s Chuck Todd: ‘The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.

‘We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration.’

But many migrants who arrived from Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico told Fox News that they thought the border remained open, despite the VP's recent comments.

Those who arrived on the bus said that they had travelled from Venezuela, with many women, children and families smiling as they got off the vehicles.

Gov Abbott appears to have directly retaliated to Harris’ comments about border security, by sending the latest load of migrants close to her home in DC.

He has sent hundreds of the migrants to Washington, DC, New York City and Chicago in recent weeks, but has yet to publicly comment on this latest escalation.
