A student was willing to walk from Penang to Kelantan so he could vote in GE15, after all bus tickets were sold out.

"We decided to send him back to his hometown to ensure his safety," Kepala Batas Community College director Jasni Mohd Yusof told NST.

Muhammad Haikal Noor Azmin, 18, was found by his lecturer at Jalan Bertam Indah 2 at about 7pm yesterday, as he was ready to set out on foot.

According to the NST, Jasni said the 2D animation certificate student suffers from movement and speech impediment.

"Despite that, he was eager to fulfill his responsibilty as a registered voter. He was willing to walk home," Jasni told the NST.

Haikal said he was moved by the help from the college to ensure he could return home to vote.
