Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Argentine's Atlético Tucumán player, Andrés Balanta, confirmed dead by top Spanish journalists.

Colombian midfielder Andres Balanta died on Tuesday after collapsing during a training session of Atletico Tucuman, the Argentina first division club officials announced.

Balanta, 22, collapsed during his team's first practice after the holiday break and was taken to a hospital in San Miguel de Tucuman, where he died after resuscitation maneuvers for more than 40 minutes didn't work.

"We regret to inform you about the death of Andres Balanta. The club's supporters are deeply saddened today. Of course, we support his family, teammates and friends," Atletico Tucuman officer Ignacio Golobisky said to the media.

Balanta had joined Atletico in July of 2021 from Deportivo Cali, the Colombian club where he began his career in 2019.

He played for the Colombia national team in the 2019 Under-20 World Cup in Indonesia.

"The Colombian Football Federation regrets the death of Andres Balanta, player of the Colombia national team in its different divisions," the Colombian federation said on its official Twitter account.

El ex Deportivo Cali se desvaneció en el inicio de la práctica, por lo cual fue trasladado a un centro asistencial de salud para ser atendido, pero luego de 40 minutos de trabajos de reanimación por parte del cuerpo médico del hospital, se confirmó el deceso del cafetero que estaba a préstamo en el Decado al que llegó en junio de 2022.

A través de su cuenta oficial de Twitter, Atlético Tucumán lamentó la muerte del volante caleño surgido en la cantera del conjunto Azucarero.

“Atlético Tucumán lamenta confirmar el fallecimiento del futbolista colombiano Andrés Balanta. Abrazamos y acompañamos con profundo respeto a sus familiares y amigos en este momento”.

Al centro hospitalario llegaron varios compañeros de Andrés Felipe Balanta en Atlético Tucumán, que en las próximas horas dará más detalles de la muerte del jugador colombiano, que tenía contrato con el club hasta junio de 2023.
