Caretaker Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong has apologised for the inconvenience caused to commuters following the closure of 16 stations on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line. 

He says a painful decision had to be made to ensure the safety of the public and to avoid any accidents.

Wee adds that he has instructed Prasarana to provide updates to commuters every three hours. 

Earlier the MCA president came under fire from netizens for the delay in making any statements over the matter.
