A British father named Paul Edwards left people talking on Twitter this week after he posted a photo of his nine-year-old son, Buddy, enjoying a meal at Hooters to celebrate his good grades at school. 

In the snap shared online, the boy can be seen smiling in front of several half-clothed waitresses at the restaurant chain in Liverpool, UK, with two burgers and some fries on his plate.

“He always thought it was fake, so when one opened up in Liverpool, I surprised him with a visit,” Paul told LADbible as he explained his reasons for choosing Hooters as the spot to celebrate his son’s academic excellence. “He was a bit shy at first but then he loved it — the staff were great and so helpful, and the food was beautiful.”

Paul said that Buddy’s mom was totally fine with the idea that her son would be visiting Hooters for the first time and even drove them to the restaurant. “It’s a great place to watch the [soccer] match,” the 36-year-old added.
