According to eyewitnesses, the fire started from a structure housing a generator and spilled onto the road where it consumed a parked police car.
Some persons escaped the fire with injuries while some others lost their lives.

A fire outbr€ak in Victoria Island, Lagos on Tuesday morning, November 1, has claimed the lives of yet-to-be specified number of persons.
The fire which went off besides Keystone bank at Adeola Odeku also left many injured and several cars and properties razed.
It’s unclear what led to the fire outbraak but videos obtained show people being pulled out of the fire as fire service and well meaning citizens struggle to put out the fire.
