It is alleged that the police captain was identified via video camera footage by the general and his members. The general then organized a team to track down the suspects. -
The suspect was traced down to New Brighton Ntshekisa Street. At the house police found the suspect and requested permission to search the house. In the bedroom police found an Adidas tracksuit on the bed, which was worn by the suspect. Police continued searching the house and -2 firearms, with full magazines and 2 hand grenades inside the washing machine. In another room, they found a 9mm firearm, 20 X R5 live rounds, and R205,600 in cash. 5 other suspects were arrested along with the captain for possession of unlicensed firearms and arson.
