Azealia Banks stunned her Australian fans just hours before she was set to take the stage in Brisbane on Tuesday as she canceled the gig and vowed to never tour down under again

Azealia Banks stunned her Australian fans just hours before she was set to take the stage in Brisbane on Tuesday as she canceled the gig and vowed to never tour down under again.

The rapper, who is probably best known for her decade-old hit “212,” explained her reasons for no longer wanting to grace the stage in an Instagram post, saying she had experienced too many bad things during shows in Brisbane in particular that she wouldn’t put herself through another ordeal.

According to the 31-year-old, she’s apparently had some not-so-nice encounters with fans, where people threw objects at her — an act that Azealia says was supposedly racially motivated. “I’m so sorry you guys – actually I’m not sorry – but listen: last time I was in Brisbane and y’all threw shit on the stage and damn near almost fucking hit me in the face with a fucking bottle of soda or whatever that shit was,” the New Yorker told her followers.

“That was the most racist, most demoralizing experience of my fucking life and right now I’m on a really good track. Sydney and Melbourne are the only cities I really want to play.” Azealia went on to express that she wasn’t going to get in front of an audience filled with “white people” just for them to potentially put her in danger by hurling things at her during the show. “Brisbane, y’all are just going to have to take the L and smoke it,” she added.
