Cybersecurity Malaysia and the Personal Data Protection Department have been asked to probe an alleged data leak from Maybank, Astro and the EC.

Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil says the leakage is serious, as it involves a large amount of information.

According to the post, the data includes usernames, full names, dates of birth, addresses and identity card numbers.
