Dr Dre could have a major lawsuit against Republican representative Marjorie Taylor Greene for the using his song “Still DRE” in a self-promotional video without his consent

Dr Dre could have a major lawsuit against Republican representative Marjorie Taylor Greene for the using his song “Still DRE” in a self-promotional video without his consent.

“I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one”.

Fifty’s recent post about dropping music in 2023 got excited not only his fans but also Marshall.

In the interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Fif revealed that Eminem reached out to him immediately after the post went out. Em had managed to talk to Dr. Dre about it and secure his support for Fifty:

I got the call as soon as I said that. I got a text from Em. He had already spoken to Dre, and Dre is in there and he got some crazy stuff for me to go here. So, I’m going to. This is my process: I’ll go make something that I can find out, the best music I can get my hands on. And then, when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. Because he’ll have something.

A three-headed monster is back! It’s been a while since this trio worked on something together, and we know that they don’t ever miss. So there is even more excitement now about Fifty’s new record. He doesn’t feel pressure, though. He is in competition only with himself and doesn’t care whether or not people will buy his record.

During a recent interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the rapper was asked about a recent Instagram post that saw him announcing “new music, new TV” and a “new Movie.” Fif said that as soon as he shared the news with fans, his Shady/Aftermath family reached out to let him know they were ready to work.

“As soon as I said that, I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there and he got some crazy stuff for me to go hear,” he said. “This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he’ll have something… He’s always had something.”

The G-Unit boss went on to explain that there have even been instances in the past where Dr. Dre gave up beats he had created for himself for 50 Cent to use.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Queens rapper announced that he’s started working on an 8 Mile TV series to help further Eminem‘s already bulletproof “legacy.”

While he didn’t offer many details about when fans could expect the project or where in B-Rabbit’s life the story would pick-up, 50 said that the project was already more than some distant goal.

“We in motion,” he said. “It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100 … I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”

The news comes a few months after the 8 Mile soundtrack celebrated its 20th anniversary with an “Expanded Edition” re-release, which arrived as the original album was certified 6x platinum. The new edition features all 12 original songs, along with instrumentals for each of the tracks.
