INTERRUPTING VIDEO: Shannon Sharpe is back on ‘Undisputed’ today and he immediately got into it with Skip Bayless during his opening monologue in regards to Skip’s tweet about Damar Hamlin

Fox Sports host Skip Bayless has defiantly refused to delete a tweet questioning the NFL's decision to postpone Monday's Bills-Bengals game following Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field.

Bayless has been slammed by critics over the post, which he apologized for during Tuesday's episode of FS1's 'Undisputed' in the mysterious absence of co-host Shannon Sharpe. Bayless' offending tweet came as Hamlin was being resuscitated on the Paycor Stadium turf on Monday night.

'No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game - but how?' Bayless asked in his tweet. 'This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome... which suddenly seems so irrelevant.'

The game was ultimately postponed indefinitely and Hamlin remains hospitalized in Cincinnati.

'It seems like he's trending upwards in a positive way,' Hamlin's uncle told CNN.

ESPN spoke to family friend and representative Jordon Rooney outside the hospital in Cincinnati on Wednesday, and he revealed that doctors were happy with the progress Hamlin has made. However, Hamlin is 'still sedated and in a critical condition in the ICU,' according to Rooney. Bayless has faced a wave of criticism over the tweet, which many labeled as 'insensitive.'

Sharpe, too, objected to the tweet, although he stopped short of blaming it for his absence from Tuesday's show.

'There's been a lot of speculation on why I wasn't on air yesterday, and I won't get into speculation, conjecture, innuendo, but I will say this: Watching that game on Monday night, what happened to Damar Hamlin struck me a little different,' Sharpe said to start Wednesday's program. There's been a lot of speculation on why I wasn't on air yesterday, and I won't get into speculation, conjecture, inuendo, but I will say this: Watching that game on Monday night, what happened to Damar Hamlin struck me a little different.

As the brotherhood of the NFL, when injuries happen – and we know injuries are part of the game, I've seen guys suffer for ACLs and achilles tear – but I've never had to see anybody have to be revived and fight for their life on the field, so it struck me a little differently, because I remember seeing my brother [former Packers receiver Sterling Sharpe] paralyzed on the field, temporarily, and he was able to regain focus.

Skip tweeted something, and although I disagreed with the tweet, and hopefully Skip will take it down…

BAYLESS: Timeout. I'm not going to take it down, because I stand by what I tweeted.

SHARPE: Skip, let me finish.

BAYLESS: No, you go.

SHARPE: ... I can't even get through a monologue without you interrupting me.
