Michelle Yeoh has won the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy film, for her role in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’

Michelle Yeoh has won the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy film, for her role in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’. 

She is the second Asian actor to win in the category.

The Ipoh-born actress beat Lesley Manville (Mrs Harris Goes to Paris), Margot Robbie (Babylon), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Menu) and Emma Thompson (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande).

She was also just the seventh woman of Asian descent to be nominated for the award.
