Pedro Pascal shares a polaroid of him and Nico Parker from #TheLastOfUs.

The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal (Joel), Nico Parker (Sarah), and Gabriel Luna (Tommy) break down the heartbreaking Episode 1 death and how they adapted one of the most iconic scenes from the game.

Hollywood star Pedro Pascal has recently stated his eagerness to become part of the MCU, and there are two specific characters that are perfect for Pascal's potential introduction to the Multiverse Saga. Since his rise to prominence through his role as Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of Game of Thrones, Pascal has become part of some of cinema's biggest franchises. With roles in Star Wars and the DCU under his belt, Pascal was asked if he would be up for conquering another major modern series.

In an interview with WIRED, Pascal was asked his thoughts on a potential MCU role to which the actor replied "I do want that. I want to be in movies." With The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pascal admitting he is up for a role at Marvel Studios, online discourse will inevitably turn to who he could play in Marvel's ever-expanding cinematic universe. With the Multiverse Saga currently in full swing, there are two specific characters who would fit Pascal perfectly.

One of these characters is Spider-Man 2099. This version of the popular web-slinger will make his big screen debut in Sony Animation's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in 2023, voiced by a close friend of Pascal, Oscar Isaac. Despite this, there is still a way Spider-Man 2099 could feature in the MCU. With the Multiverse Saga going into its second Phase in the MCU, which has been heavily dominated by Spider-Man thus far, a future movie could certainly see Spider-Man 2099 appearing in live-action.

Be it in the inevitably cameo-filled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars, or tied more intrinsically to Tom Holland's MCU Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 could make an appearance as a multiversal variant of the character. The character, Miguel O'Hara, is an Irish-Mexican geneticist, which makes him a good fit with Pascal's Hispanic heritage. With Pascal proving time and again that he can portray heroic yet complicated heroes, the role would be perfect for someone of his caliber.

Marvel's Midnight Suns Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes with Burning Sickles Ready for Use Against Enemies
Another role that would fit Pascal's capabilities while providing representation in the MCU for another Hispanic character is Ghost Rider, specifically the Robbie Reyes version. Coincidentally, the character has another link to Pascal as Spider-Man 2099 did through Oscar Isaac. Gabriel Luna played this version of Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 and also plays the brother of Pascal's Joel, Tommy Miller, in HBO's upcoming The Last of Us.

Reyes was the fifth Marvel character to take on the mantle of Ghost Rider and drives a black muscle car as opposed to a motorcycle. One way this character could appear in the MCU is again through the Multiverse Saga, linking to Luna's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. version. If the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. universe is confirmed as part of the MCU multiverse, Pascal could be introduced as Earth-616's version of Reyes. This would make sense, as both Spider-Man 2099 and Reyes appeared in the Secret Wars comic book, meaning a Multiverse Saga appearance is all the more likely.
