The City of Cape Town has closed two beaches due to sewage spills. Small Bay near Blaauwberg and Strand Beach along the False Bay coast are off-limits to visitors until further notice.

 This will make it possible for city officials to collect water samples for analysis.

In another news, Police have seized a car in connection with a fuel theft incident to conduct an investigation. 

A Marshall Security armed response officer pursued and apprehended the driver after he filled his tank with R500 worth of fuel from a gas station and sped off in Briardene, Durban.
