The viral Pink Sauce is now available in Walmart stores

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that The viral Pink Sauce is now available in Walmart stores..

Dave’s Gourmet announced that Walmart has become the exclusive retailer to carry Pink Sauce until July 2023. The rosy-colored sauce will be available in over 4,300 Walmart store locations nationwide and on walmart.com in mid-January, Dave’s said. The sauce is a shelf-stable, vegan and gluten-free version of the original pink stuff that Chef Pii developed in her Miami kitchen, now manufactured under FDA guidelines in an SQF-certified facility.

Chef Pii and Dave’s Gourmet entered into an exclusive partnership, with Dave’s Gourmet assuming responsibility as the sauce’s exclusive supplier and distributor, and Chef Pii continuing to drive social media and other aspects of Pink Sauce. The sauce's creator, Chef Pii — real name Veronica Shaw — tapped hot sauce and pasta sauce company Dave's Gourmet as Pink Sauce's exclusive supplier and distributor over the summer. In a press release, Dave's said that while Shaw's concoction enthralled the internet and sold out upon launch, the Miami-based chef and content creator lacked food production expertise, which "led to significant obstacles."

While initial concerns surrounded the fluorescent sauce's safety, Dave's said it is manufacturing Pink Sauce "under FDA guidelines in a [Safe Quality Food]-certified facility," noting that the product is "shelf-stable." The Los Angeles Times reports that Pink Sauce is "dragon fruit-based" with a "sweet and sour" flavor profile — though Dave's had to alter the recipe and packaging. Ingredients now include dragon fruit, coconut cream, canola oil, onion powder, and ranch flavoring. A glass bottle has replaced its plastic squirt container.  Pink Sauce will be available exclusively at 4,300 Walmart locations through July 2023. While Shaw had originally priced it at $20 (plus shipping), bottles now cost roughly $8.

Pink Sauce has had a bumpy journey to retail. At launch, customers complained of error-ridden nutritional labels and lack of storage instructions, with some saying that the substance was arriving in varying hues of pink or that their bottles had been broken en route.

At the time, Shaw acknowledged her errors, while lashing out at critics. "I am literally being tortured because I won't give answers to people in regards to my safety as a business owner," she told Insider in July. "I have a right to reserve my silence, so that triggered them to dig deep to harass me."

But the condiment quickly raised a lot of eyebrows with consumers who were puzzled by the lack of ingredients listed on the bottle and little information about the product’s exact flavor. To make matters worse, the nutritional label had several errors in it, while others asserted that the lack of preservatives in the recipe made it unsafe for people to consume if not shipped refrigerated.

But after overcoming a multitude of obstacles in rectifying her mistakes, Chef Pii partnered with hot sauce brand Dave’s Gourmet, which is now bringing Pink Sauce to 4,300 Walmart stores across the country, starting in mid-January, Yahoo reports. Walmart will be an exclusive retailer, meaning that Pink Sauce will only be purchased from its stores or directly on its official website. The aforementioned company assured that the sauce has been “manufactured under FDA guidelines.”

Nay-sayers who criticized Chef Pii for the sauce were certainly very opinionated about Walmart jumping onboard to sell the condiment, though it should be clarified that the version sold by the retail corporation will have already passed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulation.

Pii posted a photo to her Instagram on Wednesday as she stood in front of a Walmart store with two bottles of the new-and-improved pink sauce, seemingly confirming the report of her major business venture. One of her followers congratulated her success, writing, “Knowing a bit of what you went through to get to where you are currently , is definitely a piece of hope for those striving to succeed.

“[It’s also] a huge message that screams ‘DON’T GIVE UP, KEEP PUSHIN, YOU MAY MAKE MISTAKES AND HIT BUMPS ALONG THE EAY BUT KEEP GOING TIL YOU GET THERE’ I love this for you.”

“I remember some ppl went viral for talking s**t bout ur product now look its in walmart thats wassup🙏🏽respect for not givin up.”

Socialites, will you be heading out to Walmart to try this pink sauce in the near future or has the controversy from last year turned you off from even giving it a try?
