VIDEO FOOTAGE: Conor Mcgregor gets hit by car driver, Nick Dooley, from his bike while cycling on the road

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Conor Mcgregor gets hit by car driver from his bike while cycling on the road.

The champion fighter asked the man for a lift home, as his small blue bike lay in the middle of the country road.

McGregor continued to film from the passenger seat of the man's car, who introduced himself as Nick.

The shell-shocked Irishman points his camera into the boot to show his battered up bicycle after the collision.

'I'm still here, thank God. That's all that matters,' McGregor says.

Messages of support and concern flooded in for the Irishman after he posted the footage of the incident.

One Instagram user wrote: 'Be careful Conor. Glad you're okay.'

McGregor, who amazingly emerged unscathed from the crash, credited his years of training in various martial arts with helping him avoid suffering potentially fatal injuries.

He wrote alongside a picture of his mangled bike: “Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full spreed straight thru me.

“Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.”

The 34-year-old also uploaded two videos of his interactions with the driver of the car who was extremely apologetic following the incident and even gave the UFC superstar a lift home.

“All good, mate. Don’t worry about it… I could have been dead there,” McGregor can be heard saying in he the first video as the man says sorry and explains why he didn’t see him.

‘Mystic Mac’ asks for a lift home after telling the man, ‘That bike’s f***ed’. Of course, he happily obliges, and McGregor continues to react to the incident while driving home and getting to know a bit about a bit about his travel companion, Nick Dooley.

McGregor said: “Nick is after smacking me with his car. We have the bike in the back. It wasn’t our time, Nick, that’s all. God bless. We are still here, thank God, that’s all that matters.”

The former dual-weight UFC champion has only just fully recovered from the catastrophic leg injury he suffered at UFC 264 in July 2021

McGregor has been working on getting back to full fitness ever since ahead of his eagerly anticipated return to fighting which is expected to take place at some point in 2023.

The Irishman has previously claimed that he will look to book an opponent in February after he passed two mandatory United States Anti-Doping drug tests.

Recently, he’s been linked to a coaching role on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ which takes six weeks to film and will almost certainly mean his comeback fight will be delayed.

The MMA fighter, who goes by the name The Notorious, said he was hit from behind as he was cycling along the road.

Filming after the accident, the champion Irish mixed martial artist, who is set to coach in The Ultimate Fighter show, appeared breathless and shaken.

At one point, the video shows McGregor's ripped cycling pants and what looks to be a wound on his upper leg.

The man who appeared to be in the car can be heard apologising to McGregor, having pulled over to the side of the road several yards ahead.
