An angry Eagles fan, Edward Dalasandro, broke into a Florida firehouse and threw a meat cleaver at firefighters after Super Bowl loss

An angry Eagles fan broke into a Florida firehouse and threw a meat cleaver at firefighters after Super Bowl loss.
Investigators said Dalasandro ransacked the bunk rooms in the house, urinated on the carpet and stole over $120 along with a uniform hat and knives.

Firefighters later confronted Dalasandro, who allegedly threw a meat cleaver at them, according to a social media post from the Martin County Sheriff's Office.

An angry Eagles fan got his wings clipped Sunday night after he allegedly broke into a Florida firehouse and ransacked the bunkrooms, stole a uniform hat, urinated on the carpet and threw a meat cleaver at the firefighters who
confronted him.

Edward Dalasandro, 25, of Philadelphia, barged into the Hutchinson Island Fire Station in Martin County, Florida, at about 10 p.m. and stole the hat, $126 in cash and some knives, according to a Facebook post from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Then he allegedly urinated on the floor near a closet. When Dalasandro left the room he bumped into a firefighter.

“The firefighter at that time immediately started calling for the other crew members that something was wrong,” District Fire Chief Tom Hornbostel told WPBF.

Hornbostel told WPEC, “This whole situation is very scary and just unexpected.”

He also is accused of taking $126, knives and a uniform hat.

When firefighters cornered Dalasandro, the sheriff said he threw, what the sheriff’s office said was a meat cleaver at them, missing them.

Firefighters contained him until the deputies responded.

Dalasandro faces several charges including armed burglary and aggravated assault on a firefighter, WPTV reported.

When questioned by investigators about why he allegedly broke into the fire department, Dalasandro would not tell them why Chief Deputy John Budensiek said.

“Other than belligerent talk and swearing profusely at our deputies and the fire rescue personnel and the hospital employees that tried to treat him afterward, he hasn’t said anything,” Budensiek told WPBF.

Budensiek said that Dalasandro was kicked out of a bar earlier in the evening for being intoxicated, WPEC reported.

“We have no tolerance for it. He was arrested and sitting in our jail on a $120,000 bond. We put as many charges on him as we could on purpose to send a message to anyone else that thinks about messing with our fire rescue personnel or vandalizing our county buildings,” Budensiek told WPEC.
