The news comes after reports of intimidation and attacks against supporters of Peter Obi, a leading contender in the upcoming Nigerian election set for February 25th.
The alleged behaviour of Oshiomole is in line with what was observed in Lagos State last week, where supporters of Peter Obi, were reportedly intimidated and attacked during a Labour Party campaign rally.
Peter Obi is seen as a threat to the opposition and has led to an increase in tensions and acts of intimidation in the lead-up to the election.
