Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Mrs Bina Jennifer Efidi, identified as the woman whom thugs hit with bottle on her face and eye during presidential election in Lagos state.

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Olajide Adeniran, popularly known as Jandor, on Sunday visited Mrs Jennifer Efidi who was attacked at the polling unit during Saturday’s presidential election in the state.

Jandor, in a post on his Facebook handle, condemned the incident while also commending her resilient and courage to cast her vote despite the incident.

He said, “The incidents of violence we saw across Lagos State yesterday has been one of the major reasons we seek and working assiduously towards having a breath of fresh air in Lagos and push for state-wide reforms that will eradicate the criminal patronage system that uses our youth as weapons to advance the selfish causes of certain individuals.

“Months after we first raised the alarm about election related violence, Mrs. Bina Jennifer Efidi became a victim of the ruling party’s wickedness.

The picture of Mrs. Efidi casting her vote with a plastered face and dripping blood went viral on social media yesterday. She was described as the hero of the election.

 Adediran described her action as an encouragement to all Nigerians and Lagosians alike, saying the resilience of the citizen to change the government cannot be broken by any act of intimidation.

He said he had thought the Chief Security Officer of the state who is the incumbent governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo Olum will condemn the dastardly act “but unfortunately, his culpability wouldn’t let him,” saying, “he has remained insensitive and nonchalant to the plight of Lagosians.”

Jandor who extended hands of support to Mrs. Efidi in seeking proper medical attention, enjoined the good people of Lagos State to remain resolute on their readiness to vote out APC and install a government that will birth a breath of fresh air in the state.
