Negotiations on an open or multi-mode toll payment system between KKR, MOF, and related concessionaires, are being expedited, says KKR minister Alexander Nanta Linggi.

Ha adds a pilot project to enable payments through various digital payment providers will be conducted.

Alexander explains the payment system was an alternative presented by the ministry pending the implementation of the multi-lane free flow system which is expected to begin in 2025.

“We will do it as soon as possible because we have to test the system first."

"Discussions have also been made with MOF because it will involve financial implications, and after all parties are satisfied, a decision will be made," adds Alexander.

He notes the matter was also being expedited so the MLFF could be implemented before the target period.
