PM Anwar Ibrahim has clarified that it was not his administration that appointed Nazri Aziz as Malaysia’s ambassador to the US.

Anwar said Nazri’s appointment was made around a year ago and that the US took six months to confirm it.

He said he only confirmed the appointment, adding that cancelling it would cause many problems. 

“Saya hanya mohon kepada Yang di-Pertuan Agong untuk tangguh sedikit tentang watikah supaya saya susun dulu jemaah menteri.”
