Malesela Teffo has opened a case of defeating the ends of justice against Bheki Cele.
Malesela Teffo alleges that in November 2020, Police Minister Bheki Cele convened a meeting in Cape Town with top law enforcement officials to compromise the court proceedings of the trial of the 5 men accused of killing Senzo Meyiwa.
Teffo claims that the meeting was held to ensure that another docket implicating Kelly Khumalo and 6 others never sees the light of day. The affidavit alludes to the attendees of the meeting as the lead investigator, Colonel Bongani Gininda, and former director of National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Nathi Mncube.
