VIDEO: “I’m going just for Rihanna, I don’t give a freaking flying f*ck"- Adele says she’s attending the 2023 Super Bowl just for Rihanna

Adele says she’s attending the #SuperBowl    just for Rihanna:

“I’m going just for Rihanna, I don’t give a freaking flying f*ck.”

Even if you’ve never watched a full game, the Super Bowl halftime performances are a cultural staple, for better (Shakira and JLO) or for worse (The Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson incident). The significance of the Super Bowl halftime extends farther than just the show itself; it is a massive milestone for an artist to put on an incredible performance, enough to make other stars like Adele want to come during her day off. During one of her Weekends with Adele Vegas concerts at Ceasar’s Palace this week, Adele shared that she’s only going to the Super Bowl this year for its half-time show. “I’m going just for Rihanna, I don’t give a freaking flying fuck,” said the Grammy nominated singer, who confirmed that she will attend the awards show this weekend. Much like the rest of the world, Adele is excited to see Rihanna’s return to music, even if the Superbowl performance won’t mean a new album.

Back in 2012, Rihanna humorously stated on The Jonathan Ross Show that she enjoyed attending the BRIT Awards to 'stalk Adele,' according to The Mirror UK.

'It was nothing about the awards or the performance,' she admitted, and jokingly added, 'For me it was just to see Adele again. She doesn't know the depth of my affection. She has no idea.

The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker, 34, announced the revelation to a fan mid concert during her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, adding, 'I don't give a flying f***!' reported Us Weekly.

Rihanna is set to perform at the iconic Halftime Show on Sunday, February 12, which will be held at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, marking her first live performance in five years.

The Someone Like You performer also has the same excitement when crossing paths with the fellow singer.

In 2018, Adele mentioned Rihanna in her Time 100 essay, and recalled, 'I actually can’t remember the first time I met Rihanna; I was probably numb from the shock of it,' according to Elle.

The 15-time Grammy winner further gushed, 'The progression of her superstardom feels steady, well deserved and extremely natural...The innovative and groundbreaking world of Rihanna that no one else will ever be safe in and get away with copying. She makes her own rules and bends ours.'

Adele continued, 'Whenever I’ve met her, she’s been the most gracious, loyal and funny goofball of an icon. She glows like when someone’s taken a picture with a flash and you’re dazed for a few minutes after.'

The Set Fire To The Rain singer expressed that her friend was 'fearless and full of all the right kind of attitude to be everything that she is and will be forever.'
