Months after being arrested for disr¥pting public peace and m¥rder, Lagos police declare a ‘King’ wanted for wielding pump action rifl£ publicly in Surulere

The Lagos State Police Command has declared one Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare wanted after videos emerged of him wielding a pump action rifle and thr£@tening public peace in the Surulere area.

In the video shared by the spokesperson of the Lagos police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the man also known as Oba Ogboni is heard thr£@tening to deal with transport union chieftain Musiliu Akinsanya, better known on the streets as MC Oluomo

The statement released by Benjamin read: “Following the emergence of a video earlier this week showing a man wielding a pump action rifle and threatening public peace, the CSP Egbeyemi-led Rapid Response Squad (RRS), working on actionable intelligence, carried out a sting operation on the residence of the man in the Surulere area of the state.

Found in the suspect’s residence were three pump action rifl£s, one Beretta pistol magazine, one expended and three live cartridges and a picture frame of the suspect. The suspect, Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, narrowly escaped arrest and is hereby declared wanted. Any useful information leading to his arrest would be highly appreciated and treated with utmost confidentiality.

It would be recalled that Bakare was one of the 48 Yoruba Nation protesters arrested and charged by the police for the m¥rder of sachet water seller, Jumoke Oyeleke, who di£d from a stray b¥llet during a self-determination rally in Ojota on July 3, 2021.

Bakare, had denied being a part of the rally and explained why he couldn’t disappear after being arrested by the police.
