Jenna Ortega rumoured to have joined the cast of the Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again”, which premieres in 2024 on Disney Plus

Jenna Ortega will be reportedly joining to the Marvel Studio.

She reportedly joined the cast of the Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again”, which premieres in 2024 on @DisneyPlus.

Jenna Ortega has been put in front of a whole new audience by taking on the role of Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s new Addams Family series. Having slowly carved out a name for herself as a “scream queen” thanks to key roles in the likes of X and Scream, Ortega’s take on Wednesday has been a joy to watch for millions of Netflix subscribers. Her success in the role has instantly led to her being linked to numerous other big potential parts for the future.

Although the image shared by @Clements.Ink does not feature the iconic White Tiger mask, as it would obviously have covered Ortega’s face and made the image pointless, however, it certainly does show how the actress could fit into the role if her rumored casting turns out to be true. Check out the image below.

The rebooted Daredevil series will run for an extended 18 episodes on Disney+, marking Cox and D'Onofrio's second post-Netflix reunion as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin after 2023's Echo spinoff. After Daredevil's Netflix cancelation, both actors were reincorporated into Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Cox appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law while D'Onofrio served as the final villain of Hawkeye.

When it comes to Daredevil: Born Again, fans of the superhero are stoked for the return of Matt Murdock, having gone through the pain of watching Netflix’s Daredevil series being canceled, then the joy of seeing him return in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The announcement that Daredevil will not only be getting his own series but also the longest by some way at 18 episodes was well received when announced earlier in the year by Marvel Studios. Although the series will not debut until 2024, it is already one of the most anticipated titles of the MCU’s upcoming phases.

A name used by several individuals within Marvel Comics, White Tiger is known for their combat skills and superhuman abilities and has notable ties to Daredevil and the Defenders. Now, as casting for Daredevil: Born Again continues, one artist with the username clements.ink has given an idea of what Ortega could look like as White Tiger. The image, shared to Instagram, sees the actress wearing the hero's signature suit, along with weaponized claws.

Fan art imagines Jenna Ortega as White Tiger in the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. While details surrounding the series remain under wraps, audiences are looking forward to seeing more of Charlie Cox's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and with the 18-episode season set to be different from its predecessors, many are wondering what new characters, if any, will appear. Ortega's star has been on the rise for a few years now, with her latest role in Netflix's Wednesday earning significant recognition and leading to multiple fan casts, including White Tiger.

Rumors surrounding the potential inclusion of White Tiger have been circulating for a while. Given the current direction of the MCU, it may be possible to see an iteration of the hero appear in Daredevil: Born Again. Though the artwork depicts Ortega in the White Tiger costume, there are two figures audiences could see her, or someone else, portray. As Matt Murdock/Daredevil continues to meet different heroes, Angela del Toro could show up in the new series. The niece of Hector Ayala, the first White Tiger, Angela assumed the identity following her uncle's death in the comics and turned to Murdock for help. If the Disney+ show introduces new characters to Daredevil's universe, she's a likely choice.

Co-created in 1975 by Bill Mantlo and the late George Pérez, White Tiger is a legacy hero who uses the power of a supernatural amulet to fight crime and injustice. The character's first incarnation, Puerto Rican native Hector Ayala, was also groundbreaking as the first Latin American Marvel superhero, with two of his successors -- Angela del Toro and Ava Ayala -- being Hector's niece and sister, respectively. To date, only Ava has been adapted outside the comics, starring in video games and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon as one of four teenage heroes mentored by Spider-Man under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s supervision.

A report stating that White Tiger would appear in Daredevil: Born Again began circulating in November, though it has not been officially confirmed by Marvel or Disney. The report also stated that it would be Ortega to take on the mantle for the Disney+ series. Known cast members starring opposite Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio include Margarita Levieva and Sandrine Holt, as well as Levieva's The Deuce co-star Michael Gandolfini.
