Lil Durk beefs with NBA YoungBoy & Quando Rondo over release dates

Lil Durk beefs with NBA YoungBoy & Quando Rondo over release dates.

YoungBoy seemingly responded by dropping a diss track named 'I Hate YoungBoy', where he not only takes aim at Durk but also Durk's fiancée India, Gucci Mane and King Von. He also name-dropping King Von’s alleged murderer Quando Rondo in the song.

"Quando got no filter, and he say that, they gon’ fuck with ‘em / Clean up on aisle O, youngin let that chop blow / Ayy, my brother let that stick blow, n***a know that’s my smoke / He called me a b***h, that’s India, that be your ho" he raps in the beginning off the diss.

In recent weeks, he’s hyped up the release. First, he mentioned that the forthcoming project “ain’t regular,” though he didn’t indicate what to expect. Most recently, he made it clear that he’s willing to step on anyone’s release date without fear. “I can drop this single and f*ck the streets up on god,” he wrote on Instagram this week. “Your release date ain’t safe son son.” It seemed unclear who is was targeting but the recent response from the Never Broke Again crew signals that they took it personally.

The cause behind Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy's apparent dispute could be due to their close friendship circle.

King Von was shot and died following an incident with associates of Quando Rondo, who is signed to YoungBoy's Never Broke Again record label. NBA YoungBoy – whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden – had a close bond with Quando Rondo.

This morning, NBA Youngboy allegedly addressed Durk’s latest post in a series of tweets from a new account. YB didn’t mince his words, either, calling Durk “old” while proving Joe Budden’s theory that the “Stop The Violence” campaign didn’t come from a genuine place. “Kiss my ass bitch see me in the streets,” YB wrote on Twitter. “Old ass think he slick stop watching me,” he added in another tweet while referring to Durk as a fan.

Though Quando Rondo certainly doesn’t have the numbers to back him like Durk or Youngboy, he evidently has little issue with the Chicago rapper dropping on the same day as him. He responded to Durk’s post about release dates, writing, “Drop that shit we all on a time schedule!” Quando Rondo previously stated that his upcoming album will drop in a month, which he’ll dedicate to the late Lul Pab, who was fatally shot last summer. “Seen a lot of blood sweat and tears I lost my right hand man in front of my eyes I love you thug I’m going number 1 for you big brah,” Rondos said earlier this week.
