Nonku Williams 's boyfriend Dumisani Ndlanzi aka RD is an ex offender. He went to jail in 2016 for raping a 20 year old in 2014.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Yesterday, 8 March 2016 Empangeni Regional Court convicted and sentenced a well-known community leader at Richards Bay, Dumisani Ndlanzi (35) for raping a 20-year-Old victim. Ndlanzi was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for rape.

In January 2014 a 20-year-old victim from Gauteng went to Richards Bay to stay there and to look for a school to attend. While she was at Richards Bay, she was referred to a well-known community leader who was going to assist her to get a school. The accused contacted his contacts regarding her request and thereafter he told her to kiss him. The victim refused and after which the accused raped her. A case of rape was opened at Richards Bay police station and the case was transferred to Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit for further investigation. On the same day of the incident, the accused was arrested and charged with rape. He appeared in court on several occasions until he was convicted and sentenced to a total of 10 years imprisonment yesterday.

The Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni welcomed a sentence handed down to the accused at Empangeni Regional Court. “I also commend the Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit who thoroughly investigated and presented sufficient evidence at court that led to the conviction of the accused,” she said.
