Tiago Toguro issued an official note about the accident that was involved in the early hours of this Friday (3/3). The first information showed that he would have reversed his car, and with that he would have hit a motorcyclist, Johnny Silva, who ended up dying. According to Toguro, this did not happen: “It was a fatality. (…) He collided with the rear of the vehicle and lost his life, at no time did I reverse.”
The influencer also commented that he remained at the scene of the accident until medical attention arrived. “I can say that, from the moment of the accident, I stayed at the scene, waited for the victim to receive medical attention, and made myself available to the authorities so that they could be tested for alcohol and toxic substances.”
Toguro also claims that he is already in contact with the victim's family and that he had not commented so far because he was not feeling well and wanted to respect the motorcyclist's family members: "It was only yesterday at the end of the night that I received contact from the family members and my spokesperson with the victim's sister. (…) From the moment of the accident until now, I have not been well, that is why the silence and for this reason I preferred not to speak and respect the mourning of family and friends.”

I go public out of respect for family and friends with regret to clarify the news about the accident that occurred in the early morning of 03/03/23, involving my vehicle and the motorcycle of the victim, Mr. Johny Vieira Da Silva, a fatality, where unfortunately he came I collided with the rear of the vehicle and lost my life, at no time did I reverse gear, I cannot say more details about the accident, but I can say that from the moment of the accident, I stayed at the scene and waited for medical attention to the victim, I made myself available to the authorities so that they could be tested for alcohol and toxic substances, I waited for the Civil Police to carry out the technical expertise and then, still at the scene of the events, I was released by the police authority to return to São Paulo. Even so, concerned about the situation and without data on the victim and family, I went to the 21st Police District, responsible for the occurrence, spontaneously presented myself and made a statement, a public document, which states that I am available to the family in this moment of mourning, to help in whatever way possible. Also informing that it was only yesterday at the end of the night that I received contact from the family members and my advisor spoke with the victim's sister, Mrs. Tayna, who was to meet with her family and get back to us so that we can continue with the help and assistance due.
From the moment of the accident until now, I haven't been well, that's why the silence and for this reason I preferred not to speak out and to respect the mourning of family and friends, and in a veiled way to help them in whatever way possible, knowing that no value will be brought in back the victim and much less ease the suffering and pain of those who loved him.
