The US Embassy has once again warned its citizens residing in South Africa to stock up on food supplies due to the country's persistent power crisis and also warned of the possibility of a civil unrest

The US Embassy has once again warned its citizens residing in South Africa to stock up on food supplies due to the country's persistent power crisis and also warned of the possibility of a civil unrest.

"The US Embassy would like to take this opportunity to remind US citizens travelling to or living in South Africa that South Africa has a Travel Advisory Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution due to Crime and Civil Unrest," the statement said.

The warning comes days after the lawyers representing a certain NGO based in the United States of America took Home affairs to the Pretoria High Court, in order to make sure that SA grants asylum to 22 Afghan nationals that were reportedly being hunted by the Notorious Talibans.
