They finally found the man in the viral Arise Tv clip. His name is Aliyu Mohammed. He broke down in tears while helping his Igbo friends whose shops were set on fire by unknown tribal bigots in Lagos.

This video is proof that we are united as a people, but these old generation of politicians keep dividing us along tribal and religious lines, while they unite to steal our commonwealth.
What binds us together is our common humanity & that WE ARE ONE! Keep that in mind. ALWAYS.

Ohanaeze said the attacks were in”consonance with the various threats issued by both the lowly and barbaric hoodlums before the general elections that a vote against the APC will incur wrath”.

In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Chidozie Alex Ogbonnia, Ohanaeze said: “The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has received reports from our Lagos State Chapter that the Akere spare parts market, Lagos has been set on fire with goods worth billions of Naira. The report also revealed that a 65 year old security man was shot dead before the inferno. The spare parts market is an Igbo-dominated market.

“It is very regrettable that while the several eminent conscientious amongst the Yoruba are lending noble hands for a better Nigeria, some miscreants and hoodlums are busy destroying the invaluable cordial relationship between the Igbo and the Yoruba.”

“It is a common knowledge that the voting on February 25, 2023 was very blind to ethnicity. What the oppressed and the dispossessed masses expressed was a desire to create a new Nigeria through Mr. Peter Obi.”

A man whose sister lost her goods to the fire told The Guardian that millions have gone down the drain because some people want to start what they can’t finish.
“My sister is in serious pain. I hope justice will be done because this is a targeted attack,” he lamented.

But when The Guardian reached out to Akaninyene, he said he could not speak on the issue, insisting that all enquiries be directed at Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin.

MEANWHILE, Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into the outbreak.

The state Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, in a statement, urged Lagosians to remain calm, as the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has been directed to take over the investigation towards unravelling the true circumstances surrounding the attack.

Speaking with The Guardian, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, said: “I didn’t get the report of any attack but we have commenced an investigation and we will keep Nigerians updated on our findings. ”
