VIDEO: Tiktoker, Gora Pakora, faces backlash for taking selfie and filming where Canadian dad was slain at Starbucks

Around the same time, a Canadian TikToker watched it all unfold – and filmed the entire disgusting incident with a smirk on his face the whole time. (Read More Here).

Paul Stanley Schmidt and his daughter Erica were outside the Vancouver coffee shop about 5:30 p.m. Sunday while his fiancée, Ashley Umali, was getting drinks, his mother, Kathy Schmidt, told the Vancouver Sun.

Horrifying video posted on social media captured the moment a man suddenly stabbed Schmidt, who was seen clutching his stomach as he staggered and fell to the ground in a pool of blood.

Schmidt said she was told that the suspect — identified as 32-year-old Inderdeep Singh Gosa — carried out the depraved attack after her son asked him not to vape in front of Erica.

“It all started because he was vaping beside the baby. Ashley’s in shock — she watched the whole thing. She’s so devastated,” Schmidt added.

Gosa has been charged with second-degree murder, but Schmidt said she would like the charge to be upgraded to first-degree, which requires proof of premeditation.

The grieving mom told CityNews that she was also shocked about how no one rushed to help her dying son.

“I was incredibly surprised that nobody from inside the Starbucks called for help, nobody outside called for help. It wasn’t until basically he was in dire straits that somebody flagged down an officer on the sidewalk,” Schmidt told the outlet.

A local constable was patrolling the area and was flagged down by bystanders. First responders attempted to save Schmidt’s life, but he was declared dead after being rushed to the hospital.

Authorities arrested Inderdeep Singh Gosal, 32, and charged him with second-degree murder. They do not believe he knew Schmidt.

Police said they are seeking additional witnesses.

"We believe this homicide was witnessed by dozens of bystanders, and there may be people with information who have not yet come forward," Sergeant Steve Addison said in a news release.

Alex Bodger, who goes by Gora Pakora on TikTok, recorded the stabbing and took a selfie next to the victim’s body and filmed himself smiling in disbelief.

“This motherf— just died, bro. He just died, bro, holy f—.”

“It’s not something you think you would see walking down the street in Vancouver on a Sunday,” he told the outlet. “Every time I think about the situation I get this feeling in my chest which is pure fear.”

But according to one tweet, he returned to the crime scene the following morning to have a smoke, so not that fearful – unless the fear was not getting enough likes and being lambasted for his insensitive videos and photos.

Bodger has since released a video explaining what was going through his mind during the stabbing, that took the life of a beloved family man who simply wanted the suspect to not vape near his young daughter.

In it, he explains that he thought it was a street fight so naturally, he had to “run down there and start videotaping.”
