TRIAGE in medicine takes place first as victims were seen receiving treatment under the sun outside while lying on bed on floor at LASUTH after BRT bus and train at Ikeja along - Oshodi, Lagos state.

A Lagos State Government staff bus with registration no 04A- 48LA was on Thursday morning crushed by a moving train at PWD, Ikeja area of Lagos.

Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the accident in a statement.

"The accident recorded many casualties as the staff bus was fully loaded with govt staff going to the office this morning," the statement added.

The injured victims have been administered first aid treatment by the agency's medical team (paramedics) and LASAMBUS officials, well stabilized and being transported to trauma center at LASUTH Ikeja for further treatment.

The agency's LRT at Cappa alongside LRT at C3, LRU paramedics at C3, Onipanu, Cappa, LASAMBUS officials, Nigeria Police Force, LASTMA, LNSC and Nigerian Army are responders present at the scene of incident.

The falsehood peddled on social media that victims of the train accident at Ikeja were left unattended to is wicked and mischievous. Pure ignorance.

Victims were speedily evacuated to LASUTH. They were attended to outside the emergency Centre to classify their injuries.

Survivors have since undergone various stages of treatment and admitted into wards.

LASUTH has displayed excellence and commitment to ensure all patients are stable and discharged promptly.
