Kenyans from all walks of life joined the conversation expressing shock as they mourned the comedian.
Ochonjo is also a well-known figure on TikTok for his video with young comedians Osongo and Mike Wako.
The Kenyan comedy industry is in deep mourning following the sudden demise of comedian and actor Ochonjo Dunco.
The sad news was announced by actress Sandra Dacha. A devastated Dacha narrated how hard it is to come to terms with Ochonjo’s sudden death.
“Life is pleasant. DEATH is peaceful. It’s the transition that’s troublesome. "A day like this last week is when we took you to the hospital… My colleague @ochonjodunco took his last breath at 2am todayðŸ˜10/5/2023. You embrace death because life doesn’t exist without you. You have left some wonderful memories that will never fade from our hearts. Until we meet again rest in peace Ochos."
The thespian collaborated with fellow comedians like Mike Wako and Onsogo, Ochonjo for skits that resonated deeply with audiences before extending to the Luo comedy scene.
He also featured in several local TV dramas like Ramogi TV's Nyarkochia and KTN's Mhweshimiwa series.
