PHOTOS: Fans accuse Kate Middleton of copying Meghan Markle's fashion style as she wears £490 Aquazzura shoes and monochrome dress before Coronation

Fans accuse Kate Middleton of copying Meghan Markle's fashion style as she wears £490 Aquazzura shoes and monochrome dress before Coronation. (Read More Here).

Reactions below:

Michelle: "We’ve gotten to the point of the story where Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton actively goes out and buys the same clothes as shoes as Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan - as tho it’s the most normal thing that any sane woman would do. This woman is a creepy Karen tbh #Coronation."

Princess: "Amanda is spot on!
Mediocre #KateMiddleton, Princess of Wales has been stalking and copying Meghan since #MeghanMarkIe came on the royal scene. All the way down to her work, ideas, hair, shoes, accessories , mannerisms etc disturbing, creepy, sinister. Kate is low class!"

Kate Middleton appeared to make a subtle nod to her sister-in-law the Duchess of Sussex today as she stepped out in a pair of Meghan Markle's favourite heels.

The Princess of Wales, 41, joined her husband Prince William and the King for the Realm Governors General and Prime Ministers Lunch at Buckingham Palace today ahead of the Coronation tomorrow.

The 41-year-old, who was side by side with her husband Prince William on the countdown to the Coronation, completed her look with a pair of simple black shoes made by Italian designer Deneuve.

But it wasn’t long before eagle-eyed Royal fans pointed out that Kate’s choice of shoe looked very familiar – as they’d previously seen them on the former Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan, also 41, was snapped wearing the brand’s £490 Aquazzura stilettos, which feature a simple bow at the back, on several occasions during her time as a working Royal. However it was her stiletto which were particularly eye-catching - for the Princess opted to wear a pair of £490 Aquazzura heels often worn by Meghan during her time as a working royal.

The Duchess wore the Bow Tie Pump 105 black heels, which feature a flirty bow, for her first ever solo royal engagement, as well as a number of other occasions.

She also chose to wear them once more at the Centenary of the Armistice Service in November 2018, which was held at Westminster Abbey.

While the former Suits actress even wore the Aquazzura heels to mark her first solo engagement without husband Prince Harry.

They were also packed in her suitcase for her Royal tour of Australia and New Zealand where she wore them a string of other times.

And Meghan’s obsession with the brand continued when she was also seen to be modelling a pair of the label’s suede Matilde heels, which cost £490, for her engagement photo call.

Information reads: "Kate Middleton taking a selfie w 1 of the vilest Meghan hate accounts on Twitter to thank her for her service in abusing, harassing Meghan & her babies is so on brand for her 💩
Will royal reporters Emily Andrews & Jack Royston comment on it since they know abt selfie etiquette?

"This person owns a hate account targeting Meghan Markle, and she got the opportunity to take a photo with Kate."

"I think Kate will wear something thoughtful that will in some way show her loyalty to King Charles," Bethan Holt, fashion director at the Daily Telegraph tells PEOPLE. "She will recognize this as a huge moment, and I think we'll see something that sets her apart from the crowd."

Next in line to the role of Queen Consort and the first Princess of Wales to attend a coronation since 1902 means royal watchers could see Kate making quite a grand statement.

King Charles's decision to "slim down" the monarchy and have a pared-down coronation ceremony may indicate that he will also install a more laidback dress code than we've seen at former coronations.

"I'm certainly hoping we'll see coronation tiaras, but it's possible that Charles is following the example of some of his European counterparts, like the King of the Netherlands, and setting a daytime formal dress code for the event," royal jewelry expert Lauren Kiehna told People. "That would mean that we could still see some grand jewels, like necklaces, brooches and earrings but no tiaras. I'll be sad if that's true but it may just be another part of the 'de-formalizing' of the British royal world that has taken place over the last several decades."

"McQueen would be the obvious choice, although I think it would be interesting if she went for a younger designer or an unexpected name," says Holt, author of The Duchess of Cambridge: A Decade of Royal Modern Style. Alexander McQueen was behind Princess Kate's 2011 bridal gown and is still a staple of her wardrobe 12 years later.

Holt adds, "While tradition would lean towards a full-length ivory gown, so many rules have changed. She might just surprise us!"

The Princess of Wales likes dressing to a theme, and her chosen outfit perfectly matched the Union Jack flags that now line London streets. She wore a tailored bright red coat with a demure midi hemline by Eponine London (which had a bright blue lining which you could see flashes of as she walked), worn over a white buttoned shirt dress by Suzannah.

Kate’s decision to wear London-based designers will also be no accident. The Princess has worn both pieces in the past for similarly British occasions: the coat for a visit to Cardiff as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022, and the Suzannah dress for a day at Wimbledon in 2019. She stuck to the same patriotic color scheme with her accessories in Soho: an ivory Mulberry Amberley handbag, Gianvito Rossi white heeled pumps and pearl drop earrings by Maria Black.

Instead of a tiara, the Princess of Wales is reportedly considering wearing a "floral headpiece" for the ceremony, according to The Times.

The outlet added, "There are also rumors within palace circles that no royal women will wear tiaras."

Though there's no word yet on what exactly a "floral headpiece" entails, looking back at the royal's style over the years may provide some answers. Kate has regularly worn hats or fascinators adorned with floral decorations.
