Taking to social media, one of the radio presenters at the aforementioned radio station confirmed Bra Willie is dead.
She wrote: "Just received the news of the passing of Bra Willie from Spruitview who was a frequent caller of my shows at 702 from when I started in radio.
So sad because the regulars become a part of our community especially during those over night shows when the building was empty.
Condolences to his family and may his soul Rest in Peace."
