Rema India Tour ticket price went from ₹799 to ₹999

Rema India Tour ticket price went from ₹799 to ₹999.

Nigerian musician Rema, who is best known for his super hit song “Calm Down” is now in India. The singer is all set to entertain Indian fans with concerts scheduled in three cities – New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The singer was spotted in Mumbai ahead of his first concert as part of Rema Calm Down India Tour. Overwhelmed with all the love he has been getting at the airport in India, Rema said he didn’t know he enjoyed so much fandom in the country. In videos that have made their way to social media, Rema was dressed in a green-hooded jacket with jeans. Several fans surrounded the musician as he exited the airport.

When we tell him how Calm Down has a huge fan base in India, too, Rema is grateful. Describing how he functions, he shares, “Whenever I make music, it’s for the whole world to listen to. I believe every song has its time and this was the perfect time for Calm Down. Imagine if I’d dropped Calm Down in 2019, I don’t know how it would’ve done (referring to the ever-changing musical tastes and sensibilities). I just felt like dropping it now and it was just the perfect timing.”

He goes on to talk about his collaboration with singer Selena Gomez on the song: “Selena is amazing. Working on the song was really easy, thanks to her. She was communicative, keen on the idea of this song and wanted to make sure that she complimented my verse. Her voice is just perfect.”

The singer also shared a picture of himself wearing a turban, and wrote in another post, “Ok I need an Indian Name asap!”

The Rema Calm Down India Tour will take place in three cities in India. It will start in New Delhi on May 12 at JLN Stadium. His next event is in Mumbai on May 13 at NSCI Dome, and the tour will conclude in Hyderabad on May 14 at Prism.

Reports suggest that Rema will wear an ensemble created by Indian designer Manish Malhotra for his shows. During his stay in India for the three-city Rema - Calm Down India Tour, the singer wishes to “go sightseeing”. He adds, “I want to explore the country, hear some local music, try some new spicy Indian food and maybe watch a few Bollywood films.”

So is he a fan of Bollywood? Pat comes the reply, “I’ve heard a lot about Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan (actors), since Bollywood is quite popular back home. Also, I’ve been listening to (musicians) AR Rahman and Badshah. I look forward to collaborating with Indians, especially with Badshah and AR. I hope I get to sing in an Indian language soon. I’d love to explore the whole Indian-Afro cross-cultural connection.”

Afrorave prodigy, Rema was introduced to the world in March 2019, with the release of his self-titled debut EP, and the global hits “Corny”, “Dumebi” and “Iron Man” which was featured on Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist. Rema has fast become one of the most exciting stars in global music for his unique genre-bending and avant-garde style. His debut EP will be remembered for defining a new era for African pop. Fans can expect to hear some of Rema's biggest hits along with new music from his latest album, "Rave & Roses." The shows will feature stunning visual effects, along with live performances from Rema and his band.

The Rema India Tour which is an I Love Live Entertainment IP is brought to you by Amethhyyst, Offline guys, Yuvraj Entertainment and Grid Entertainment.
