Officers responded to the mall after reports of shots fired just after 8:30 p.m., and a controlled evacuation was held.

Investigators said there were teens who started running and screaming, causing panic in the mall, but they found no evidence of shots fired in the mall or any gunshot victims.

Authorities responded to the Allen Premium Outlets to investigate a shooting Saturday afternoon that killed at least one person and sent at least nine others to hospitals, with a victim as young as 5 years old.

Police said about 10:10 p.m. that they found no evidence of gunshots being fired inside the mall and said there are no known gunshot victims. Police said prior to the initial report, a large number of teenagers inside the mall began running and screaming, “causing a panic.”

Officials said video from the mall showed the teenagers enter the location together before “causing chaos.”

By about 10:15 p.m., Sgt. Stephen Bryrom said the mall was evacuated and officers were continuing to clear it.

Joshua Lovell, a department spokesman, said police are still investigating to determine whether a chargeable offense exists.
