VIDEO: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle survive deadly car accident after being chased by 6 paparazzi vehicles in New York city

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle survive deadly car accident after being chased by 6 paparazzi vehicles. (Read More Here).

In a situation eerily similar to what caused Princess Diana's death, her son, Prince Harry, wife Meghan Markle and Meghan's mother were nearly in a 'catastrophic accident' as paparazzi chased the car they were in on Tuesday in New York.

Details:

- The incident took place after they attended an awards ceremony in New York on Tuesday.

- "This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers," said Harry's spokesperson.

The incident took place shortly after this video (below) was taken in New York.

- The Prince, Princess and Meghan's mother were followed by half a dozen 'blacked-out' vehicles. The indentities of the drivers are not yet known.

The media needs to chill a bit. The incident happened after the couple left an awards ceremony at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan.

Adams said the description of the incident provided by Harry and Meghan's office recalls the circumstances of the 1997 death of the prince's mother, Princess Diana, who was killed when her limousine crashed while being chased by paparazzi in Paris. Here is the full statement from Harry and Meghan's office:

Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi.

This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers. While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety.
