CAUSE OF DEATH: Nigeria Tallest Man, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, died from prolonged sickness and complications from waist surgery

Nigerian tallest man Afeez Agoro Oladimeji is dead after suffering from prolonged sickness.

Afeez who is the second tallest human in West Africa had been ill for months,, he went for a hip surgery after he cried out for help on social media sometime in may. He was 48 years old.

According to a friend, he was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, yesterday evening after he developed some complications.

“I reached out to check on him as usual yesterday only to be told by someone who picked his call that he had be rushed to LUTH due to complications.

“But unfortunately, this morning I was informed he died around 7:30pm last night,” Jide Ojo-Olusola mourned.

May his soul rest in peace.

A fan of his wrote: "For those of us that lived in Akoka, we are familiar with this amazing guy, who was a giant, your life was phenomenon & unique... it is sad to hear of your passing yesterday night from complications from a surgery . 

"I remembered the first time I saw Agoro Afeez Oladimeji about 30yrs ago there about in Solanke street in Akoka, I was scared ,shocked and at the same time l was intrigued , marvel at this human who is so different from the rest of us, subsequently l became use to seeing him and accepting his uniqueness there is something beautiful about Him, very playful, friendly and jovial, you just have to love Agoro Afeez Oladimeji. Im happy he was recognized and celebrated. He left us with a beautiful memories
