"Gospel music gave me more money than I’ve made in my entire career" – Kcee

KCee's Ojapiano is the most shazamed song in the world at the moment.

The singer recently claimed he made more money from Gospel.

“When I heard that I said Okay, let’s see how that works. It didn’t happen and I’ve made more money from it than ever before in my whole career. I knew I was going to make a lot of money. I was too sure.

“I fought with a lot of people before I released it. They said the song is 10 minutes and this generation doesn’t have patience.

“They said the music should be two minutes but I told them to not worry but to just release the song. And that project has been my highest streamed project ever.”

Kcee is from Amaputu in Uli, Ihiala LGA in Anambra state. According to Kcee who is signed to his brother's label Five Star Music, the gospel album is his most streamed work to date.

The artist claimed that after he released the album, many people wrote him off since they thought his career was over.

However, he claimed that even before the project was released, he knew it would be a commercial success.

Kcee said;

"When I did the gospel [album] and a lot of people were like, 'It's over, he is actually going close to his village. Now he's taking the music to the village.'

That was horrible. When I heard that I was like, okay, let's see how that works. And it didn't happen. I made more money from it [the gospel album]; more than any ever before in my whole career."According to Kcee who is signed to his brother's label Five Star Music, the gospel album is his most streamed work to date.
