Gird your loins, Marvel fans — the star of the Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again has shared some illuminating information about the MCU show that we can safely assume is not the news you hoped to receive today. Meanwhile, The Little Mermaid continues to soar to new heights (swim to new depths?) in the eyes of fans after Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King share behind-the-scenes details that make it that much harder not to praise their versions of Ariel and Prince Eric over the Disney animation.

According to Hauer-King, Bailey is an “extraordinary” actress who is able to carry the weight of the film on her shoulders “gracefully.” He also praises her as an incredible friend, both in front of and behind the camera. Hauer-King goes on to say that he believes people will be amazed by Bailey’s performance in the film. Hauer-King said, “She is so talented. She carries the weight of this film [The Little Mermaid] on her shoulders so gracefully. She was an incredible friend to me, both in front of and behind the camera. People will be amazed by her.”

Arguably one of the most exciting Disney Plus shows Marvel has in the pipeline, Daredevil: Born Again will see Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their roles as Matt Murdock and Kingpin, but that’s about as far as the continuation goes according to D’Onofrio. In a recent interview, the Wilson Fisk actor confirmed our worst fears about the 18-episode Disney Plus series, saying, “It’s not the Netflix show.” Welp, there goes that. Let’s just hope that Disney’s family-friendly influence doesn’t ruin it entirely; we can only give so much grace. According to our review, for fans of classic Disney magic, “The Little Mermaid” brings a sense of nostalgia that hasn’t been felt in a while. It is a delightful and lovingly crafted movie that surprises with its soulful moments. Anchoring the film is Halle Bailey’s powerful and endlessly charismatic performance as Ariel. She shines brightly, delivering one of the best performances ever seen in a Disney live-action adaptation.

The film follows the youngest of King Triton’s daughters, Ariel (Halle Bailey) a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. Longing to find out more about the world beyond the sea, Ariel visits the surface and falls for the dashing Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King). Following her heart, she makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to experience life on land.
