Rumor that Trump requested that Jack Smith add Don Jr. to the witness list after the Judge ordered that he is not to have any contact with witnesses.

Rumor that Trump requested that Jack Smith add Don Jr. to the witness list after the Judge ordered that he is not to have any contact with witnesses.

It sparked confusion among the protesters and media waiting for Trump to arrive as the first president to face a judge on federal charges.

The city has set up a ring of steel around its federal courthouse as the city braces for thousands of protesters ahead of Donald Trump's arraignment on Tuesday afternoon.

Both supporters and opponents of the former president are expected to swarm the area ahead of his 3 pm ET arrival.

City officials said they are prepared for a crowd of 5,000 to 50,000 people in the downtown area that houses the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. United States Federal Courthouse.

The former president is set to enter the court through an underground tunnel and no cameras will be allowed in the courtroom.

As Trump prepares to face charges on 37 federal counts related to his handling of classified documents after departing the White House, a new poll shows a majority of his fellow Republicans believe the case if politically motivated - an argument Trump himself has made.

He has already been indicted in New York over hush money payments to an adult film star. His court appearance in April was a humbling experience, from having to sit meekly before a judge to the unwillingness of officers to hold a door open for him. Now he faces a repeat but on far more serious charges.

He is still scrambling to find a settled legal team after his lawyers on the case, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, resigned on Friday.

“Donald Trump is scared stiff about serving prison time – he knows he won’t survive,” said Allan Lichtman, a history professor at American University in Washington.

“Trump is used to evading accountability in the court of public opinion but everything changes when you go into a courtroom. I’ve been an expert witness in more than a hundred cases. You’re not in control. The court, the jury is in control. You can’t make baseless charges. Anything you say is subject to the penalty of perjury or to being dismissed.

“Plus, who’s going to defend Donald Trump? Who are they going to put on the stand? You have to have witnesses. You have to have documents. You have to have evidence. You can’t just say things in a court of law. I don’t know what their evidence might be and who their witnesses might be. And I can’t imagine any competent attorney letting Trump testify.”

Trump’s supporters are reportedly planning to load buses to head to Miami from other parts of Florida, raising concerns for law enforcement officials who are preparing for the potential of unrest around the courthouse.

CNN drops bombshell, reveals that Miami police are “investigating a suspicious package” outside of the federal courthouse in Miami where Trump is about to be indicted for violating the Espionage Act.

CNN reports that police suddenly “put out yellow tape” and ordered “everyone” to “clear the area” while they “do a sweep” to investigate the suspicious package because they are on “high alert.”

This is a developing story, please stay tuned for more updates.
