Donald Trump suffers ANOTHER big defeat as a judge rejects his desperate request to have his Stormy Daniels hush money criminal case moved to federal court — slapping away the absurd suggestion that the allegations are tied to his role as president and thus a federal matter

Donald Trump suffers ANOTHER big defeat as a judge rejects his desperate request to have his Stormy Daniels hush money criminal case moved to federal court — slapping away the absurd suggestion that the allegations are tied to his role as president and thus a federal matter.

U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein sided with Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's request to keep the case in New York state court.

The already indicted ex-president pathetically argued that Bragg's prosecution is political motivated, a claim that the judge rejected.

Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records tied to the manner in which and his then-fixer Michael allegedly conspired to conceal a $130,000 to pornstar Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an affair ahead of the 2016 election. The trial is slated for March 2024 and is just one of Trump's many multiplying legal problems.

"The evidence overwhelmingly suggests that the matter was a purely a personal item of the President — a cover-up of an embarrassing event. Hush money paid to an adult film star is not related to a President’s official acts. It does not reflect in any way the color of the President’s official duties,” wrote the judge.

Trump was eager to move the case to federal court in large part because it would mean that the jury pool would be assembled from areas beyond the reliably Democratic Manhattan and surrounding New York areas. Instead, he will just have to pray that some MAGA Republicans end up in the blue mix.
