Rapper, Gunplay, held wife Vonshae Taylor at gunpoint after being asked to turn down Call of Duty volume

Rapper Gunplay has found himself in hot water after allegedly holding his wife and daughter at gunpoint following a request to lower the volume while he played Call of Duty on Xbox. Gunplay’s wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, took to Instagram to recount the horrifying incident, claiming that her husband had been drinking and scaring their baby with his loud gaming. When she asked him to lower the volume, Gunplay reportedly became enraged and brandished a firearm at both Taylor-Morales and their daughter.

Morales’ wife said he wouldn’t let her leave the apartment and tried to snatch their daughter from her by the neck and head. She told police she began yelling for help, Morales went into the building hallway yelling for help and she put the AK-47 into her luggage.

When Morales ran down the hallway, she said, she left while her parents had called police.

Rapper Gunplay allegedly held wife Vonshae Taylor at gunpoint after being asked to turn down Call of Duty volume.

In an attempt to escape the dangerous situation, Taylor-Morales tried to gather her and her daughter’s belongings to head to a hotel while Gunplay sobered up. However, the rapper refused to let them leave, resulting in a further escalation of the situation. Taylor-Morales alleged that Gunplay pointed an AK-47 at her while she held their six-month-old child, threatening to harm them. Eventually, Gunplay left the premises to seek help, which gave Taylor-Morales the opportunity to seize the gun, hide it, and escape.

A noisy argument

An arrest report says after returning to the Camden Brickell Apartments from a family dinner out, Morales was enjoying some Xbox video game time late Saturday night. His wife told police Morales was “highly intoxicated” and loud playing his video game, which she worried would wake up their child.

Morales reacted, she said, by throwing glass cups and liquor bottles at her. She said she covered the baby with a blanket to keep her safe from any flying glass shards.

That’s when, the report says she told police, Morales grabbed an AK-47, pressed the barrel into her chest and declared, “I will blow your s--- back!”
