Drake has hopped back into betting mode, placing a hefty wager on Israel Adesanya to knock out Sean Strickland in their UFC 293 bout.
Drizzy took to Instagram on Friday (September 7) to upload a picture of his Stake ticket which says that he bet $500,000 on Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya to win over Sean Strickland in their highly anticipated bout.Sean Strickland
The 6 God is no stranger to placing massive wagers on sporting events. Last month, he placed a huge bet on a fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former UFC contender Nate Diaz.
According to TMZ, the 6 God made a wager to the tune of $250,000, ahead of the 10-round cruiserweight bout (catchweight of 185 pounds), in favor of Diaz. “Jake is a dog but I can never bet against a Diaz brother that’s just how I was raised,” Drake told the outlet. However, Paul won via unanimous decision over Diaz.
In April, the Grammy Awards winner won a total od $2.7 million after placing a bet of $500,000 on the Last Stylebender to beat Alex Pereira which returned $885,000 and $400,000 for a knock-out win which brought a winning of $1.8 million.
In November 2022, Drake counted his losses with a bet of $1.6 million on the Nigerian fighter who conceded his second UFC loss to Pereira in UFC 281.
Adesanya heads into Saturday’s night fight against Strickland in Sydney with a fighting record of 24 wins which include 16 knock-outs and two defeats.
