PHOTO: Ice Cube clapped back at Elon Musk over meme about him

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Ice Cube clapped back at Elon Musk over meme about him.

Elon Musk, CEO of X (the platform formerly known as Twitter), started his day by posting a meme mocking rapper and actor Ice Cube. The member of the legendary rap group N.W.A fired back with his own meme taking a direct shot at Musk, slamming the widely perceived decline of Twitter since the billionaire’s purchase of the company.

In a meme posted by Musk on Thursday morning, the caption reads, “Remember Ice Cube? This is him now, feel old yet?” The image shows a photo of Ice Cube on the left and… a glass of water on the right.

“You know, sometimes, you gotta buss on’em,” he said. “You can’t just always have’em incoming, you know what I mean? Sometimes you gotta hit the corner and buss on’em.”

“When you wanna talk slick to me on Twitter, you can expect to get a response. Lettin’ stuff slide, lettin’ it ride — I mean, I know there’s a bunch of bots. Sometimes, you gotta slap a bot too, you know what I’m sayin’? You can’t take no stuff from no robots either. At the end of the day, it’s really just about standin’ up for yourself and not lettin’ these folks talk slick to you.”

Ice Cube fired back Thursday afternoon by quote-tweeting Musk and adding his own image captioned, “Remember Twitter? This is it now, feel stupid yet?”

The images Cube included show the blue Twitter bird logo on the left, with a photo of a dumpster fire on the right. Ouch. His post also appeared to be an original creation.

Musk may have been referring to how some feel the onetime gangster rapper watered down his image as he crossed over to Hollywood and made a series family friendly films, such as Are We There Yet? Or maybe it was just a joke.

Cube responded several hours later with his own meme. “Remember Twitter? This it now, feel stupid yet?” The post included the old Twitter logo along with a photo of an actual dumpster fire.
