Operating under the handle BidenHQ, President Biden's reelection campaign account identifies itself as a "project of Biden-Harris 2024" and features a banner image bearing the phrase "the malarkey ends here," a nod to the President's distinctive catchphrase.
In a tweet on the platform formerly known as Twitter, the campaign hilariously explained its presence on Truth Social, stating, "mostly because we thought it would be very funny."
For its profile picture, the campaign opted for a portrayal of Biden as "Dark Brandon," a meme originating from the "Let's Go Brandon" chant used by rightwing circles as a veiled, vulgar criticism of the President.
While the account's tone is light-hearted, it's evident that the Biden campaign also intends to engage with conservative users. Their initial posts on the platform included content highlighting conservatives both praising Biden and critiquing Trump.
In their first post, the campaign wrote, "Well. Let's see how this goes. Converts welcome!" This move marks another playful and meme-filled digital strategy from the President's team that will last as long as Trump's fragile ego allows it to.
