The supermodel, 28 - who was traveling with pal Leah Nicole McCarthy - arrived in a private jet at Owen Roberts International Airport on July 10 and went through customs with her luggage - with Customs & Border Control agents finding a small amount of ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja after scanning her belongings.

She arrived at Owen Roberts International Airport where CBC, local outlet Cayman Marl Road reported, discovered "ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja" after putting her bags through a scanner and searching them by hand.

The quantities "were relatively small and were seemingly for personal consumption," according to the outlet.

The star was processed at the Royal Cayman Islands Detention Center - where she was later released on bail, pending prosecution, reports local outlet Cayman Marl Road.

Hadid and McCarthy appeared in Summary Court on July 12 and pleaded guilty. They were both fined $1,000 and avoided conviction on their records.

Cannabis in the Cayman Islands is illegal but limited usage of CBD oil has been allowed for medical purposes since 2016.

Similar materials were found in the bags of Leah Nicole McCarthy, another female member of Hadid's group, Cayman Marl Road reported. Both women were arrested on "suspicion Importation of Ganja and Importation of Utensils used for the consumption of ganja" and transported to the Prisoner Detention Center.

They were released on bail and appeared in a Summary Court on July 12 where they both plead guilty. Each were fined $1,000 and no conviction was recorded.
