VIDEO: Johni Broome went back to apologize after he smacked Morgan Freeman hand thinking a fan grabbed his jersey

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Johni Broome went back to apologize after he smacked Morgan Freeman's hand thinking a fan grabbed his jersey.

On another note, his Ole Miss fandom may be getting even bigger. Freeman was spotted wearing a sweater that read “#ComeToTheSip” right across his body. That’s a slogan Ole Miss football head coach Lane Kiffin brought to Oxford and now the term has taken the University's athletic world by storm in recent years. Kiffin acknowledged Freeman wearing the hoodie and would certainly give it a nod of approval.

Ole Miss basketball coach Chris Beard vowed to make his team's tickets hot commodities when he took the job in March 2023.

He has succeeded in that endeavor in less than a calendar year. He also has succeeded in bringing the stars to SJB Pavilion. Actor and filmmaker Morgan Freeman again was in attendance for Ole Miss' game against No. 16 Auburn on Saturday in his courtside seat.

There’s no denying it, Ole Miss basketball is in the middle of some quite interesting times and in a really unique way. What other school has the most popular and viral floor manager in the country (one of the top stories in college basketball), Morgan Freeman attending multiple games in a season and is as successful as Ole Miss is now? None. Don’t forget this team is also undefeated at home this season (13-0).

It's the second straight game he has attended. He was in the building for Ole Miss' victory over Mississippi State on Tuesday that saw the Rebels break their home attendance record with 10,630 fans on hand.

Freeman, 86, grew up in Charleston, Mississippi. He has often attended Ole Miss athletic events over the years.
